The concept for residences is the Angel Oak Tree; it is the oldest documented tree located East of the Rockies. By incorporating natural and organic features of the Angel Oak tree, the space will be comfortable, calming, inviting, and sustainable by serving as grounding environments for the family to gather.

The floor plan for both residences is reflected among the plans for ease of accessibility; however, the materials and finishes selected for each plan will be unique to the location in which it is located. The plan depicted here is of the Boston residence.

Boston’s palette will include cool and crisp colors with washed brick and light wood accents. The choice in finishes will be light and airy, creating a coastal aesthetic which relates to the local vernacular.

The overall design of the Tennyson Penthouse will be inspired by a sea urchin. Sea urchins serve as a vital part to the coral reef ecosystems, just as public relations serves as a vital part of corporate society today. Sea urchins are typically black, brown, purple, green, pink, and sand-colored; therefore, these colors will be found in furniture pieces and accents throughout the space. There will also be cool colored walls and upholstery which will represent the color of the ocean.

The overall layout of the space will be open with a central living space. There will be both public and private spaces for the client to use as well as her interns. The space will be supportive of her needs by serving as a multi-functional, comfortable yet elegant live and work space.

The master bathroom includes a double vanity with a custom makeup vanity located in the middle. It also includes custom cabinets with marble countertops and serves as a statement space within the penthouse.
